Personal: Married since 1996 with two children. Interests include skiing, tennis and classical piano.
TYLER ELLIOTT
Primary Practice: Bankruptcy
Education: Graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder (1998) with degrees in Geography and Environmental Studies. Graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law, having earned both a J.D. (2009) and M.A. in Conflict and Dispute Resolution (2009).
Experience: Tyler began his legal career as a clerk in a high-paced litigation firm during law school in Eugene, Oregon, focusing in the areas of insurance and malpractice law. In addition, he completed his Masters degree while working on collaborative watershed restoration projects throughout the state of Oregon. After graduation, Tyler moved to Bend where he has been practicing general law, soon thereafter becoming a member of our firm’s bankruptcy department.
Personal: Married. Interests include skiing and hiking in the Cascades, cooking, golf, and live music.
MICHAEL SEIDEL
Primary Practice: Family and criminal law. He is admitted to the Oregon State Bar, the Federal District Court of Oregon, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Education: A graduate of the University of Oregon and the Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
Experience: Mr. Seidel has twenty-plus years of criminal law experience. He has represented clients in criminal matters, including infractions, misdemeanors, felonies, drug cases, sex crimes, DUIIs, and Ballot Measure 11 cases. Mr. Seidel has represented clients in District and Circuit Courts in 26 of Oregon’s 38 counties. Mr. Seidel has argued and won cases before the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Court. Mr. Seidel has extensive experience in analyzing, negotiating, and trying complex criminal cases. Mr. Seidel has been a speaker at seminars and a presenter at legal conferences.
Personal: Married with one son. Enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and skiing.
JONATHAN JOHNSON
Primary Practice: Civil Litigation, Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship & Conservatorships.
Education: Graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science (2000). Awarded trumpet soloist medals at the Conservatoire de Montreuil in Paris, France (2002, 2003). A Graduate of Willamette University College of Law (2008).
Experience: During law school, Jonathan served as a summer law clerk at a civil litigation firm. He also served as a law clerk for a circuit court judge, where he researched Domestic Violence Batterer Intervention Programs. As an attorney, Jonathan has been employed in the areas of Bankruptcy, Debtor/Creditor, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Employment Law.
Personal: Enjoys skiing, cycling, hiking, and trumpet performance.
